About Us

Our Mission

Our mission is shaping tomorrow’s leaders. Our Students are taught with traditional values of Martial Arts. Taekwon-Do and Kali will help our students develop their physical coordination along with their concentration skills.  Our programs will help in all aspects of life. Our goal is to instill life values in our students so that they are well-rounded individuals, with having respect for all things, giving them the positive influence and self-confidence they will need to be successful at anything they do.

Martial arts is about developing one’s mind and body. Our programs are designed to not only teach self-defense but also designed for our students to improve self- confidence, develop leadership skills, build discipline and increase overall fitness.

Our Story

Norwalk Taekwon-Do Academy has been serving the community since 1985. New ownership took over in 2014. Since then, we have introduced many new things to the academy. To name a few: We have brought Kali - an indigenous fighting art of the Philippines- into the curriculum, transitioned back to the Traditional Style of ITF (International Taekwon-Do Federation) and we have made our school into a competitor school. Our students compete in competitions, tournaments, and championships throughout the year- with a number of students placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Since the transition into ITF, Norwalk Taekwon-Do Academy has become affiliated with White Tiger Taekwon-Do in Manchester, CT. Where we get additional training from some of the Best Martial Artists out there. We are lucky to have the opportunity to team up with their organization.
